An appropriate pillow, one that's the correct height and shape, adapts to the contours of your neck. It's comfortably soft and it gives real support. That's the whole idea behind Pillowise, and it's why we measure for it here rather than guessing at a size.
Pillowise takes a different approach to personal sleep comfort. It matters that your pillow is not too high and not too low: a pillow in your size aligns your cervical spine properly and keeps it aligned through the night, instead of letting your head drift out of position for seven hours.

How it works
The three measurements
Step 1
Shoulder width
A tape runs straight across your upper back, from the point of one shoulder to the point of the other. This is what sets how wide the pillow needs to be to fill the gap between your head and the mattress.
Step 2
Neck circumference
The tape wraps around the base of your neck. Two people with the same shoulder width can still need different pillows, and this is usually why.
Step 3
Ear to shoulder
The last measurement is the diagonal from just below your ear down to the tip of your shoulder — the height the pillow has to fill when you sleep on your side.

Why does pillow size matter so much?+
Because a pillow that is too high or too low holds your neck out of its natural alignment for hours at a time. A pillow matched to your dimensions supports the contours of your neck instead, so your cervical spine stays aligned and the surrounding muscles can actually relax while you sleep.
How do I find out which size I need?+
You get measured in the office. It takes a few minutes — shoulder width, neck circumference, and the distance from your ear to your shoulder — and those three numbers point to your size. Call us at (949) 249-2720 and we will fit it into a visit.
Is there a pillow for children?+
Yes. The Junior sizes are built the same way as the adult pillows, scaled to a child's measurements, so a growing neck gets the same support.
How long do the pillows last?+
Pillowise gives a five-year warranty on its custom-fit pillows. They are made in the Netherlands from materials chosen for how well they hold their shape over that kind of span.
Do I need to be a patient to get fitted?+
No. Anyone can come in to be measured and fitted. If you are already under care with us, we will usually do it alongside a regular visit.
Can I just order one online in my size?+
